Wicked Weeders 28th May

The Wicked Weeders plan for tomorrow is to head to Spa Park, park up at the main car park near the playground and then head to the 2023 Kids Greening Taupo planting site to find, release and stake the plants 🌳 If it is fine, we may do some additional cutting and pasting of some nearby broom and silver birch trees that are popping up through the earlier plantings.

I will bring grubbers, hand tools, Cut n Paste and morning tea. 😁

Bring along your gloves and sensible footwear, as the ground is uneven and hidden.

To get to the site walk along the bike track that cuts through the first KGT planting at the top end of the car park. Walk along the bike track, at the end of the plantings, head left, you should then see us Dont follow the bike track and head down the bank crossing the service lane and then off towards Huka Falls along the rotary ride you will miss out on the cake.

Thursday 6th - Plant setup day for Greening Taupo Day, Tauhara Road. Weeders support 9-1230 I am not 100% sure when the bulk of the plants will arrive, as Murray is on holiday until Wednesday, June 5th. We will have at least 1 load in the morning, vermicast will also be needed to be placed in holes. I have a group from Pathways at 1245

Friday 7th -Greening Taupo Day. Come along and check out all the awesome activities and grab a venison sausage and a hot soup 😁

Tuesday 11th - Return to the Greening Taupo Day Planting Site, Tauhara Road to check all plants to make sure they have all been planted well🌳
