Wicked Weeders 18th July

Hi all. It looks like it’s going to be another nice Tuesday for Wicked Weeders, but it could be just a little bit chilly 😁

We will continue tidying up the Matariki planting sites. Tomorrow, we will work on the 2021 site alongside Rickett St. towards Control Gates. Park up at one end and we will work our way through the plantings to the other. You should see the Greening Taupō car.

We will clear the native plants of any weeds and grass. There may be some woody weeds to cut and paste and blackberry to cut back.

I will bring a selection of tools along with cut and Paste, the weed eater, lawn mower, stakes, and afternoon tea. Don’t forget your gloves; the ground is uneven, so it's best to wear some good footwear.

25th July: Preparing 2023 Matariki Planting site

26th July: Matariki Planting from 9.30 am

1st August: Returning to the Matariki site to check the plants and finish off anything that needs to be done.
