Wicked Weeders 14th March

Hi all,

Looks like tomorrow should be a beautiful day, the plan for wicked weeders is to head to the Taupō Golf Club and tidy up the 2022 planting site with some releasing and cutting and pasting of broom that’s popping up throughout the site. We will also check out the planting site for our first community planting planned for April 2nd

Tomorrow I will bring a selection of tools incl grubbers, loppers, paste and the weed eater and of course the morning tea.  Bring your gloves, and wear suitable footwear for uneven ground don’t forget your sunhat and slap on some sunblock.

We will meet up at 930am - 1130am

Entrance via the Contact gate opposite the dog training club, I will try and get there early to open the gate.

We will see how much we get done at the Taupō Golf Club to see if we need to return on Tuesday the 21st March (It would be great to sneak in another visit to the Hipapatua 2022 planting site..)

Tuesday 28th we will be back at the Golf Club to help prepare the planting site and harvest some bamboo for the planting day.

Friday 31st March plants are being delivered from Treeline and Corrections, support for unloading and placement of plants within the site would be much appreciated from 9am
