Wicked Weeders Tuesday 7th February

Hope everyone had a good long weekend, it was nice to have a sunny summer’s day amongst it.

It was so great to see you all last week it was a nice sunny morning to pull a few weeds and catch up. The weather looks great tomorrow so the plan is to head to the Matariki planting site, alongside the Waikato River. We will park up and start from the top (Rickett St), we will look for plants amongst the long grass and do some releasing and staking, and down along the bank the convolvulus has returned and is choking some plants so anyone keen to get in and free them would be awesome.

I will bring a selection of tools along with the weed eater, stakes and the morning tea. Don’t forget your gloves, the ground is uneven so best to wear some good footwear, it could be hot and sunny so don’t forget a sunhat and sunblock.

930am - 1130am we will park up the top and go from there.

14th February - Crown Park, we will be supporting KGT and have some students turn up to support, we will be at the site at the end towards the soccer club rooms down where the fire was.
