Let us try for one more Wicked Weeders session before we put our gumboots and tools away for the year. Tuesday the 20th from 930am we will meet up at the bottom of Acid Drop mountain bike track, Control Gates.

The grass has gone crazy with this weather and the little natives that were planted earlier this year are getting a bit smothered. We need to get in there and release the plants by pulling the grass away Once we get some longer periods of good weather we will get Bruce in here and do a bit of a spray and deal with the weeds that are coming back. So it would be super helpful to have the natives easily seen.

There could be a few showers in the morning (or there may not be) if its not too bad come along, it shouldn’t take too long and we will grab a quick cuppa and Christmas cake before the predicted heavy rain with thunderstorms and potential downpours :)

We had a lovely lunch at Kefi at the Hub last week, it was wonderful to be able to thank the wicked weeders for all their awesome support for Greening Taupō and their mahi in maintaining the planting sites.
