Wicked Weeders 28th February

Tomorrow weeders will be dependent on the weather, if the rain has cleared out by 930am we will head to Hipapatua (Reid’s Farm, Huka falls Road). Met service says it should be clearing by 930/10 am.

We will start down by the river at the planting site at the southern end, a tree has fallen onto this site so we will see if we can save any squished plants and also undertake the annual release of convolvulus from the plants.

I will bring a selection of tools I have a couple of hand saws which may be helpful and paste for any woody weeds.  Don’t forget your gloves, the ground could be a bit wet underfoot gumboots could be a good call for this one or you could head higher up to stay in the dry. Lets's hope that the sun is going to break out so don’t forget a sunhat and sunblock.

930am - 1130am We will cancel if it’s raining as it’s just not fun in the rain and we will try again next week.

Just give me a bell if you are unsure where to go 027 6288008 or drop me an email for any comments

The plan for the following weeks is

We need to spend a bit of time at Hipapatua planning the 28th and 7th
