22 November 2022

It was another fun and crazy busy event last Tuesday, thank you to all that came along and helped out finding and releasing the plants. It turned out to be another successful day with over 200 students able to then mulch the plants, once again it will really help the plants get above the weeds and hopefully take off.

For Wicked Weeders Tuesday 22nd of November, as the weather looks a little bit unpredictable we best not do any cut and paste so we will head to the Centennial Drive planting next to AC Baths. (A complete change of plans)

I have 4 trays of plants at our nursery and as we are still having water issues here I think the best place for the plants will be in the ground. I would also be keen to get a bit of fertiliser spread and some weeds grubbed out.

I will bring the plants and a selection of tools including spades, loopers, grubbers and morning tea. Don’t forget your gloves, the ground is uneven so suitable footwear, it could be hot and sunny or cloudy with downpours so be prepared for all.

930am - 1130am you can park next to the site off Centennial Drive just past the AC Baths

Just give me a bell if unsure where to go at 027 6288008 or drop me an email for any comments

The plan for the following weeks are: (but could change)

29 November - Whakaipo Bay Living Legends Gully

6 December - Im on school camp this week, Rachel has offered to lead the weeders this morning and would like some help within Brentwood Gully

13 December - Thank you Lunch :)

Happy Holidays till we return on the 31st of January 2023- We may have some wicked watering support required in January but we will keep you informed.
