Hi all,

Welcome back to another year of weeding, planting, morning teas and making a difference! 🌱

Tomorrow, Tuesday 28th, we’ll kick off the year at Hipapatua within the top winter camping area. The convolvulus is making a strong comeback; half the site has been recently cleared, but the other half is rather overgrown so our mission will be to pull it back and give the new plants some breathing room. We’ll also check all the stakes to help locate the plants later in the season.

It’s hot and sunny out there, so remember to sunblock, cover up, wear good footwear, and bring gloves and water to stay hydrated. I’ll bring some tools, but we’ll mostly be using our hands to untwine and pull out the weeds and we will finish up with morning tea🌿

📍 Winter freedom camping site, Hipapatua, off Huka Falls Road
🚗 I will open the gate and parking will be available near the camping area where we’ll be working.
