Wicked Weeders 1st of October 🌳 from 10am

Hi all,

Wow! It’s October and our planting season is officially over. Thanks to you all that helped make it such a successful season💚 but you are still all very much needed as the weeds will keep coming 😁

For this Tuesday’s Wicked Weeders session, we’ll be heading out to the Whakaipo Bay planting site that was held on Saturday. It was a fantastic day with an incredible turnout 🌳A huge thank you to everyone who helped with the setup— the morning ran smoothly. It was also lovely to see some familiar faces at the planting event💚

We will head out to Whakaipō Bay to check that all the plants were properly planted and to tidy up any remaining work. This ensures the best possible survival rates for the newly planted natives and we would hate to have any forgotten pots blowing around. Then some rain should arrive and give them all a good drink.

Tuesday 1st October 10 am-12pm Whakaipo Bay down by the W2K shelter

I will bring a couple of spades, and some plants for any empty holes we find. I will also bring some guards for the Fuchsia and any small Kowhais and the afternoon tea. Don’t forget your gloves and you shouldn’t need your raincoat🌞

No Wicked Weeders next Tuesday, October 8th, as I am away.

Summer hours: Wicked Weeders on the 15th of October will be from 930am—1130pm
