Thank you Wicked Weeders

It was a pleasure to once again take the amazing Wicked Weeders out to lunch recently to thank them all for their amazing work throughout the year. The team helps set up all the planting sites throughout the year, dig and auger holes, plant, stake and mulch plants, and pull and cut many weeds.

Thank you again Wicked Weeders for all your awesome support, You all have a very merry Christmas and fab New Year and we will see you all when the Wicked Weeders start up again on Tuesday the 30th of January 2024

The Wicked Weeders meet every Tuesday and revisit many Greening Taupo and Kids Greening Taupo planting sites to give them a bit of TLC This is a really important part of Greening Taupo mahi and it determines the success of each and every site and we couldn't achieve this without the help of the Wicked Weeders.

You are more than welcome to join the Wicked Weeders team, come along when you can on a Tuesday everyone is welcome!

The Wicked Weeders meet at different sites each Tuesday

Summer hours 9:30am - 11:30am (Oct thru May)

Winter hours 12.30pm - 2.30pm (April thru Sept)

It is weather dependent…We don't go if it’s too wet and there is always a cuppa, biscuits and a good natter to finish off.

We ask you to wear suitable footwear, hat, gardening gloves and wet weather gear if required. Useful tools to release weeds are good but not essential as we do have some tools available.
