Vegetator Planting April 2022

Shawn the Vegetator Vennell has been a busy man, as usual, running his business, and maintaining the planted sites along Wairakei Drive. Once again he has transformed another blackberry and weed-infested area into a fine site ready for planting. In April 2000 plants were planted by the community along the ‘Skyline’ site, each getting a bucket of water to help give them a good headstart. Now, as long as the rabbits stay away the plants will do well!

Shawn has already got the 2023 planting site underway and we look forward to planting it out in natives. If you haven’t been along Wairakei Drive in while, go and check it out it is looking good.
